On August 19 and 20, 2026, the Annual IC3 Conference & Expo was held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India.

Prof. Dr. Hayashi, Executive Vice President of the University of Tokyo, participated in the Annual IC3 Conference & Expo on August 19 and took part in a panel discussion. The event is an international conference and exhibition that brings together representatives from schools, universities, and educational institutions to discuss topics related to students’ career choices and support for higher education.

The session, titled “Navigating Decision Fatigue in Contemporary Leadership”, focused on the challenges and burdens associated with decision-making faced by today’s leaders. In response to a range of questions posed by the moderator, Ms. Nargish Khambatta, CEO of GEMS Modern Academy and Vice President of GEMS Education, the panelists actively exchanged views while sharing their respective experiences and insights, further exploring the nature of leadership and the importance of decision-making in a rapidly changing society.

A podcast recording was also conducted in a dialogue format with Ms. Soma Dam, Head – International Academia at Suncity School, under the theme “Beyond the Silicon Curtain: Lessons from Japan’s Global Classroom”. During the conversation, they exchanged views on a wide range of topics, including education in Japan, internationalization initiatives, and the importance of developing globally minded talent in higher education institutions. They also shared their knowledge and experiences with a view to contributing to the further development of international education. The podcast is scheduled to be released on the IC3 website on November 25, 2026.
