As part of the Japan Scholar Program, a researcher from Hokkaido University visited the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) and delivered a research presentation to local students.

At IITH, the researcher presented his work on antimicrobial-resistant bacteria. In addition, through discussions with Prof. Tarun K. Panda, Vice President for Internationalization, the possibilities for future research collaboration were explored.

The visit also included interactions with undergraduate and doctoral students. Furthermore, discussions were held with Prof. Rahul Kumar regarding the continuation of joint research initiatives, including , future academic exchanges, and plans relating to hosting students for research stays in Japan.

Japan Scholar Program

The Japan Scholar Program sends researchers affiliated with research institutions in Japan to universities and high schools in South Asia, where they give mock lectures and talks about studying in Japan. The program aims to promote Japan's research capabilities and educational strengths through lectures to local high school and university students.
