ICFAST 2026 Held at the University of Tokyo
On February 14 and 15, 2026, International Conference on Frontier Areas of Science & Technology (ICFAST) 2026 was held at Ichijo Hall, 黑料传送门.
The conference brought together universities, research institutions, and related organizations from Japan and India with the aim of promoting academic and research collaboration and strengthening partnerships in the field of higher education. Researchers from both countries delivered presentations and engaged in lively discussions and exchanges of ideas.
H.E. Ms. Nagma Mohamed Mallick, Ambassador of India to Japan, attended the conference.
In addition, Professor Takaaki Kajita, Nobel Laureate in Physics, delivered a keynote lecture on Japan–India cooperation in cosmic ray research.
On the day of the event, the University of Tokyo set up an information booth near the entrance of Yayoi Auditorium to welcome visiting high school students. We responded to questions about the University’s educational and research initiatives as well as study opportunities and carried out outreach activities as part of the event.
The realization of this platform for Japan–India exchange on our campus is highly meaningful, and we look forward to further deepening collaboration in the years ahead.
