Lectures under the Japan Scholar program were held in Pune and New Delhi
Prof. Sayuri Shirai, Asia Development Bank Institute Fellow and Professor at Keio University, delivered lectures under the Japan Scholar program in Pune and Delhi, India.
On 16th December, she gave a lecture titled "Climate change and sustainable finance -Strengthening Climate Data Systems and Private Capital" to second year Master's students at the Symbiosis International University. On 19th December, she gave a lecture titled "ESG Investment* and Green Bond Markets -With Some Reference to India and Japan" to MBA students at the New Delhi Institute of Management.
*ESG investing is an investment approach that considers Environmental, Social, and Governance factors, with an emphasis on sustainability.
During and after the lecture, the professor was surrounded by students, engaging in lively question-and-answer sessions and active discussions. We hope this provided a valuable
opportunity for exchange with professors from Japan and sparked greater interest among students in studying in Japan.
